Cross-country skiing is not just Lispach. Three areas around La Bresse display no pass, and follow the snow conditions: Ventron, the Truches in Rochesson and Haut du Tôt. No opening date is announced for winter 2026-2027, and the tourist office snow report still showed, on 11 October, the summary of 16 March 2026. Here is what the listings say, before the season.
Ventron: 16 km of groomed tracks, free access
The Ventron nordic area has 16 km of groomed tracks for classic and skating, according to the tourist office listing. Three tracks follow one another by difficulty: Les Buttes (green, 1 km) serves as a beginners’ track, La Bruche (blue, 4 km) comes next, and La Futaie (red, 11 km) links to the Bussang area. The area is announced open every day from 9am to 5pm depending on snow, with free access. The listing address is the Ermitage Frère Joseph, home to the starting car park of the viewpoint described in our short autumn walks.
The Truches, in Rochesson: a discovery track and three distances
10 km from Gérardmer and 7 km from Vagney, the Truches mini-resort offers, when natural snow allows, a 3 km discovery route with a shelter. A groomed track of 5, 10 or 15 km then joins the col de Grosse Pierre. Access is free and open: a volunteer association grooms and maintains the tracks. Information on +33 3 29 24 88 69.
Haut du Tôt, between Vagney and Sapois: three small circuits
Three circuits are described in the listing: the Grisard (2 km), the Poteau (1.8 km) and the Croix des Hêtres (2.5 km). The snow report is on the Facebook page Le Haut du Tôt. The listing publishes no price: for access and context, see our article on Haut du Tôt.
Lispach: the paid area, 2026-2027 prices
For long-distance cross-country skiing, the La Bresse-Lispach area has 8 tracks of 2 to 16 km and 50 km in all, linked to the Gérardmer and Xonrupt tracks, with a free initiation area, the Jardin d’Anicé. The 2026-2027 prices on lispach.com are 8 euros adult and 4 euros child for 3 hours, and 10 euros adult and 6 euros child aged 6 to 15 for the day. A smart card is sold for 1 euro for short passes and 2 euros for multi-day passes, refundable in good condition. Children under 6 enter free on proof of age. The nordic discovery pack (access, half-day equipment and snowshoe hire, lunch) costs 37 euros per adult and 25 euros per child online at least 8 days ahead, 42 euros and 30 euros on site, from 19 December 2026 to 14 March 2027 depending on snow.
The packs shown on some tourist office pages (35 euros, 36 euros) date from the 2025-2026 season: only the prices on the Lispach website are used here. The full pass comparison is in the price of a ski pass in the Vosges, and the opening date of alpine skiing at La Bresse Hohneck in the 2026-2027 ski season.
