What was cancelled
The municipal calendar entry that announced the Friday 14 August display from 22:00 to 22:30 shows the note “Annulation feu d’artifice”. The town’s press release of 30 July gives public safety, protecting the environment and not increasing risks in a sensitive context as the reasons.
On 3 August, the Société des fêtes cancelled Jonqui fête for that day: the activities planned by the Société des fêtes and the sale of seated tickets. Tickets were refunded automatically to the bank card used, with no action by buyers.
The context of the cancellation
The town’s decision dates from 30 July. The same day, a prefectural order extended the ban on fireworks and festive fires: from 1 August 08:00 to 1 September 08:00, the transport of F2 and F3 fireworks, the use of pyrotechnic articles, firing, pyrotechnic shows, bonfires and campfires were banned in public and private outdoor spaces across the department. Postponement and next edition
No postponement appears in the town and Société des fêtes releases re-read on 6 October 2026, and no replacement date is published. The Société des fêtes website shows no date for a 2027 fireworks display. For the next edition, dates are to come and not announced as of 6 October 2026.
