The Gérardmer Triathlon had scheduled its 2026 edition for early September 2026 by the lake, with the Discovery and Olympic Distance starts on Sunday 6 September 2026. The organiser has now published the programme for the 2027 edition: Thursday 2 to Sunday 5 September 2027, with races on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September. Entries for 2027 are listed as “opening soon”, with no date and no price on 6 October 2026.
The organiser describes an event that gathers more than 5,500 participants across five races and 35,000 spectators each year. This page also keeps a short recap, in the past tense, of what was scheduled in 2026.
Published 2027 programme, 2 to 5 September
The first two days prepare the races:
- Thursday 2 September 2027, 2 to 7 pm: Triathlon Expo on Quai du Locle and XL number collection at Espace LAC;
- Friday 3 September 2027: number collection from 9 am to 8 pm, expo from 10 am to 7 pm, pasta party from 6 to 9 pm.

Prize ceremonies are listed at 4:30 pm on Saturday for the XL, at 12 noon on Sunday for TriKids, Mini-TriKids and Découverte, and at 5:15 pm on Sunday for the Distance Olympique. Numbers for the other formats can be collected from 10 am on Saturday or on Sunday morning, depending on the race. Check the official programme before travelling, as it may change.

These distances were re-read on 6 October 2026 on the race pages. Only the XL page already shows 2027 dates; the Distance Olympique and Découverte pages still mention 2026. Equipment, certificates and cut-off times differ by race, so use the page for your own format rather than applying XL rules to the Découverte.
The La Bresse cycling guide covers road, MTB, gravel and greenway riding. Closed triathlon courses are race routes, not public leisure routes during the event.
2027 entries: opening soon
On 6 October 2026, the entry page reads “Rejoignez l’Edition 2027”. Every format (XL, Distance Olympique, Découverte, TriKids, Mini-TriKids, SuperKids) is marked “opening soon”. No price is shown and the organiser gives no opening date.
The FAQ states that reselling a number outside the official platform is fraud and that collection is strictly personal, with ID, at Espace LAC, 17 Faubourg de Ramberchamp. It also says places released from a waiting list are allocated by draw until the end of August.
2026 edition: what was scheduled
The Olympic Distance and Discovery pages of the organiser’s site still show the 2026 starts: Discovery at 8am and Olympic Distance at 1:30pm on Sunday 6 September 2026. The full 2026 programme and the 2026 FAQ are no longer online, so this page does not report how the event went.
Travel from La Bresse and road closures
The main event site is on Quai du Locle by the lake.
The 2027 traffic information is incomplete. On 6 October 2026, the FAQ only says the bike section uses roads closed to traffic (“infos à suivre”, information to follow). Its sections on race instructions, aid stations, cut-off times, bike hire and showers are marked “under construction”. No 2027 traffic or parking plan is published: do not reuse the 2025 or 2026 plans, and check the organiser and municipality before travelling.

Spectator shuttle to Le Poli (XL)
The FAQ mentions a coach shuttle to the top of Le Poli for XL spectators on Saturday 4 September, from 8:10 am, leaving every 10 minutes until 2 pm (outward and return). The stated pick-up point is the junction of Avenue du 19 Novembre and Avenue du Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny. Capacity and traffic details for 2027 are not yet confirmed, so check the FAQ the day before.
Planning the 2027 weekend
La Bresse is a nearby base, not accommodation on the shore of Lake Gérardmer. Athletes with an early start should include road restrictions and number collection in their timing. Spectators should decide which races to follow and avoid trying to reach a closed sector by car.
The race briefing is emailed during race week, and the organiser posts the water temperature on its social networks at that time. Check the La Bresse and Gérardmer weather guide and those messages rather than using a measurement from an earlier year.
