The 2026 summer Trace Vosgienne takes place on 25 and 26 July in Xonrupt-Longemer. The weekend combines recreational MTB rides, children’s races, a twilight trail and two adult MTB races. The main site is by Lake Longemer; the trail regulations place its start and finish at the Xonrupt-Longemer football ground.
The details below come from the 2026 programme and regulations. Two practical points were still unpublished on 15 July: a dedicated parking plan and event-specific traffic restrictions.
Saturday 25 July programme
The day begins with a 20 km or 40 km recreational MTB ride, with starts announced between 7 am and noon. The programme permits e-MTBs on this ride. That permission does not extend to Sunday’s timed races.
The children’s events then follow age-based categories:
- 3:30 pm: U15, 6 km;
- 4 pm: U13, 4.5 km;
- 4:20 pm: U11, 3 km;
- 4:40 pm: U9, 1.5 km;
- 5 pm: non-timed Discovery Trace, 800 m;
- 5:20 pm: non-timed balance-bike race, 500 m.
At 7:30 pm, the twilight trail sets off over 14 km with 500 metres of ascent. Its regulations locate the start and finish at the football ground and set a 10 pm cut-off at kilometre 11. The organiser’s programme also announces a concert, food and craft drinks from 8 pm to 10:30 pm.
Sunday 26 July MTB races
Both adult races start at 10 am:

Number-plate collection is scheduled at the start-finish site on Saturday from 2 pm to 6 pm, then Sunday from 8 am to 9:30 am. The regulations announce the awards at 1 pm. Courses may change for safety or authorisation reasons, so open the official Trace Vosgienne website before setting out.

Registration and number collection
The organiser uses an official Njuko registration form. The regulations require a complete online file and state a deadline of noon on Saturday 25 July.
The MTB regulations contradict themselves over possible Saturday registration: one paragraph mentions it subject to places, while another says registration cannot be completed during number collection. Do not plan on entering on site. Complete the online process and check the required documents before the deadline.
The two competition regulations do not detail the arrangements for the 20 km and 40 km recreational rides. Follow the organiser’s current instructions for those rides instead of relying on a price from an earlier edition.
Access, roads and safety
The municipality places the MTB start and finish opposite Domaine de Longemer campsite. The trail uses the football ground. None of the checked sources published a reserved car park or special traffic order, so allow extra time and follow temporary signs over the weekend.
The regulations warn that riders and runners may use or cross roads that remain open and have no priority there. Marshals’ instructions and the Highway Code apply. An approved helmet, water bottle or hydration pack and personal cup are required for the MTB races; aid stations do not provide cups.

Choosing the right format
Saturday’s ride is the listed option for non-timed MTB and e-MTB participation. The children’s races use precise age categories. The 14 km trail requires preparation for 500 metres of ascent and an evening start. Sunday’s 30 km and 53 km races are timed competitions with documents and FFC rules.
